Savannah is 2!

I can't believe that my baby is 2 years old today. It feels like yesterday that she was just born and I was holding her in my arms for the first time. She is so fun to be around now and is learning so much. She has really started talking a lot more in the last month. It is so fun to watch her discover new things and new words. Charlie and I are so thankful to have her. We praise the Lord everyday for her! Here are a few pictures of her on her 2nd Birthday!

Today we got to celebrate Savannah's 2nd Birthday at the Splash Park at the YMCA. We had a great time. Savannah loved that all of her friends and cousins were there to play with her. She also love the fact of being able to eat pizza, cake, and ice cream. We are so blessed to have such a loving family. Here are a few pictures from the party that I thought you might want to see. We went to the beach for a family vacation for about 5 days. We had a blast just hanging out and relaxing. One thing to tell you is that I forgot to pack the pack-in-play for Savannah to sleep in. We did not realize it until we were almost to the beach. So, we decided that she would have to sleep in a big girl bed and she did great. She loved it. Above is a picture of her one night sleeping in the bed. She loved the fact of being able to get out of the bed and come and get us in the morning. The weather was a little colder than we had anticipated but Savannah did not mind. It did not keep her from swimming. Hope you enjoy the pictures above from our trip.

Potty Time!

I would love to say that we are potty trained and using the potty on a regular basis but that would be a lie. Charlie and I have tried to introduce the potty to Savannah and she has not really been interested in it. I did try to potty train her one day and it was not that successful. After we had 4 accidents and pooping on the toy box I decided to give it up. She was obviously not getting it. So, tonight before she took a bath she told Charlie she had to potty. Charlie then put her up there and being the good daughter that she is and taking after her Daddy she grabbed a magazine to read. She must have thought she was going to be there a while. She did successfully pee pee in the potty before having a bath so I would say it was worth it.

All of our friends were able to come to the lake today for a great day of fun! We don't get to see each other as much as we would like because we all live in different places but Kelsey our personal organizer always seems to be able to get all of us together at least a couple times a year. It was a wonderful day. We had a blast just hanging out catching up and relaxing. Kelsey learned to ski for the first time and Charlie got up on one ski for the first time. I would say that it was a memorable day. Of course Savannah loved having everyone give her all of the attention. She thought she was hot stuff. Above are a few pictures from the day!

Here is a picture of Savannah trying to put her swimming diaper on, her bathing suit on, and then her cover up. She came running to me while I was dusting saying "swim momma swim." I told her we could not go swimming today but we would go swimming on Friday. She didn't really think that was a good idea. That's when I found her trying to put everything on. She is a mess!
