Easter 2012!

April 8, 2012
Today we were able to celebrate Easter with our families.  It was wonderful.  We started the day off at church and then went to Charlie's Dads house for lunch.  We got to eat with Charlie's extended family there and it was wonderful to catch up with them.  Savannah got to hunt Easter eggs at her Pa-Paw's house with Corey and Ty and loved it. After spending time with Charlie's Dad we were able to go to my Me-Maw's for another egg hunt and to eat supper with them.  Savannah had a blast finding eggs with Grayson, Bryleigh, and Makynli.  Over all it was a wonderful day spent with family while we got to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior!

Today we got to go to the doctor to find out if we were having a Boy or Girl. Well it's a boy! We are so excited and so is Savannah. Here is a picture of her announcing that she is going to have a little brother. Everything was perfect with him on the ultrasound. Now we can't wait until he arrives!

February 16th-21st
Charlie, Savannah, and I were so lucky to be able to go to Mardi Gras this year. We went with several people from our church and Charlie's Dad. One of the guys from the church grew up in New Orleans so he knew his way around and where to take us when. We had a blast. I think we saw more parades in the time we were gone than Savannah has in her whole life. It was so interesting to see all the people dressed up and the beautiful floats. The people on the floats loved little kids. They would do anything to give them beads or toys. Savannah thought it was Christmas all over again. Dyer (one of the guys from church) made a ladder box for the girls to sit in so the people on the floats could see them to throw them stuff. You can see the ladder box in the pictures above. It was just right for all of the girls to fit in. They had a blast. Savannah loved having friends around all the time. We got to visit downtown New Orleans, go to the French Quarter, see Jackson Square, and have beignets at Cafe Du Monde. We ate at wonderful restaurants. Hopefully we will be able to go back again another time. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Charlie, Savannah, and I were lucky enough to be able to go on the ski trip with the youth again this year. Savannah had a great time. She loves all of the attention she gets from everyone and the fact that she gets whatever she wants to eat. Savannah did not ski this year but Charlie and I are planning on getting her on a pair of skis next year. She did ski down a little hill with Charlie and loved every minute of it. We had a great time and hope to do it again next year. As you can see she was trying on everybody's ski gear.

Conversation with Savannah!

January 15, 2012
Savannah never ceases to amaze Charlie and I with what she will tell us. We thought this conversation was worth sharing with everyone. I hope that you enjoy.

Me: Savannah tell Daddy what you saw outside.
Savannah: A helicopter
Me: No, you saw an airplane. Nanna and Poppa rode an airplane yesterday.
Savannah: I want to ride a helicopter.
Me: Maybe one day you can ride a helicopter.
Savannah: Just put money in it.

Charlie and I busted out laughing. We finally realized that she was talking about riding a toy helicopter at the mall. Who needs to ride a real one.

Christmas Day 2011!

December 25, 2011
We had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. Santa did come and visit Savannah bringing her a cupcake which she had requested and a swing set. It was wonderful. Then we went to church and celebrated the birth of our Savior. After church we went to lunch at Me-Maws and then to Poppa and Nana's to open presents. It was a great day! Savannah did think she was at a birthday party with all the presents. We told her that it was Jesus's birthday. She never ceases to make us laugh!

Today we got to celebrate Christmas Eve with Charlie's side of the family. It was wonderful. We started off with breakfast at Granny's and then opening presents. Then we went to Pa-Paw's house for dinner. It was a great day with our family. Savannah loved all of the attention she got. Here are a few pictures from our day. I hope you enjoy!
