CJ is 9 Month's Old!

April 27, 2013
We don't know where the time is going.  Our little boy turned 9 months old today.  He is just a joy and we love to see the new things that he is discovering each day.  This month he has really started to move.  He has three different crawls that he does.  One is the army man where he just scoots on his belly, another is what I like to call the wounded solider where he crawls on one knee while dragging his other leg behind him, and the other one is the regular hands and knees crawl.  There is no rhyme or reason to why he chooses to crawl one way or the other.  CJ is really wanting to stand up this month.  When I get him out of his crib he is holding on to the rails and trying to pull himself to a standing position.  He has not quite figured out how to do this yet.  CJ will also try to stand up in the middle of the floor.  He will get up on his hands and feet and then let go with his hands.  He usually face plants after that but he just tries again.  CJ is sleeping better this month.  He will either sleep through the night or just get up one time.  This is wonderful for his mother.  CJ has also discovered that he loves cheerios.  He thinks they are the best thing ever.  All he has to do is see the box and he starts going crazy.  CJ learned to clap his hands this month.  It is really cute to tell him to clap and he just starts smiling and clapping.  We love him so much and are so blessed.  Here are some pictures of him.

Today Savannah got to sing at Bible Study.  The whole group was able to perform for all of their Mom's.  Nanna was able to come and see Savannah singing and she loved that.  They all did a wonderful job!  Here are some pictures of her singing.

Easter 2013!

March 31, 2013
Today we celebrated Easter with our families.  We are blessed in the fact that both of our families live close by to us.  Charlie's side of the family came to our house for lunch.  It was great to get to see everyone and catch up.  Savannah managed to talk Emily and Pa-Paw into sitting at her Dora table with her.  She thought that was the greatest thing ever.  We then went to my Me-Maws for supper.  It was wonderful to be able to do an Easter Egg hunt with Bryleigh and Makynli.  All three girls did not know what to do with all those eggs to find.  It was wonderful to be able to catch up and just celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord with our families.  Here are some pictures from our day.

CJ is 8 Month's Old!

March 27, 2013
The time is just flying by.  CJ is 8 months old today.  Charlie and I can't believe that in 4 short months our little boy will be a year old.  He has started growing by leaps and bounds this month.  He still likes to get up in the middle of the night to eat.  It does not matter how much I feed him he still wakes up hungry.  CJ got his first illness this month.  Savannah decided to share the stomach virus with him.  Needless to say it is not fun for an 7 month old to have the stomach virus.  He weighed 19lbs and was 281/4 inches long when I took him to the doctor this month.  I feel like he is growing more and more everyday.  He now has six teeth.  His front two teeth have started to come in.  One huge thing for him this month was that he learned to crawl.  It is so cute to watch him do what I call the army crawl all over the house.  He loves to find cords and get into them and also into his sisters stuff.  Savannah is not a big fan of him being able to get to her toys.  One other thing he has started doing this month is squealing.  He squeals when he is happy, sad, or just excited about his food.  He wants to make sure we hear him.  CJ has also learned to go from laying down to sitting up.  Every morning when I go to his crib he is sitting up smiling at me.  It is wonderful.  We love him so much and we can't wait to see what this month holds.

CJ is 7 Months Old!

February 27, 2013
Today our little boy turned 7 months old.  The time is just going by so quickly.  He is so fun to be around.  One new thing for CJ this month is starting baby food.  He absolutely loves the fruit but is not such a fan of the veggies.  We are working on getting him to like them a little more.  CJ does however love to eat food.  I think if he could he would eat big people food.  CJ has really mastered the art of sitting up this month.  He just sits up so straight now.  He still of course loves his sister and loves it when she talks to him.  CJ now has 4 teeth.  The boy just keeps getting them.  CJ still likes to be on his belly and move around in circles until he can reach what he is trying to get to.  I don't think it will be long before he will be crawling.  As much as he likes to move he still likes to snuggle and I love that.  I did take him to the doctor for a check up this month and he weighed 18lb 5oz and was 27 1/2 inches long!  Here are some pictures of our big 7 month old!
Of course big sister needed to be in at least one picture.

Carolina Basketball Game!

February 2, 2013
Today we were able to go to the Carolina Basketball game.  They played Virginia Tech and won.  It was a great game.  It even went into overtime.  We were able to go to the game with Poppa, Nanna, Holly, Kelsey, and Johnathan and Lindsey met us there.  Savannah was so excited about going to the Carolina game.  Savannah loved cheering for them and she asked what the big stuffed animal(Rameses)  was doing on the court.  Kelsey, Holly, and I just busted out laughing.  The innocence of a child.  CJ I believed enjoyed the game.  He slept through most of the first half and then he just liked watching all the people the rest of the time.  It was a great day to be in Chapel Hill!

Savannah playing Basketball!

January 29, 2013
Savannah was able to do a basketball clinic at the YMCA this winter.  It has been fun for her.  She probably likes just running around the gym more than anything.  It is quite fun to watch a bunch of 3, 4, and 5 year olds trying to play basketball.  They teach them how to dribble, pass, and shoot the ball.  Savannah was pretty good with the passing and shooting but was not very interested in dribbling the ball.  Charlie and I are not sure if she is going to be a ball player or not.  We shall see!  She was also given a trophy at the end and a little cupcake.  She was in heaven!
