SNOW 2014!

Well it started snowing yesterday and we got a ton of snow!  The kids were so excited and so was Charlie!  I had to work on Wednesday and they could not wait for me to get home so we could go sledding on tank hill.  Pa-Paw came over this morning to bring us Charlie's old sled from when he was a child.  Savannah managed to talk Pa-Paw into coming outside to play in the snow with us.  We built a snowman and used grape tomato's as the eyes, mouth, and buttons. We had baby carrots as the nose and sticks for the arms.  The kids had a blast making the snowman.  We also made snow angels!  Charlie and I forgot how wet you get when just play in the snow.  After lunch we went sledding in the back yard on the surf board.  The sleds would not work because the snow was not packed down enough.  They kids were having a blast with that.  We then built another snowman and Charlie took the bottom of our old snowman and made a huge snowball.  The kids thought it was the greatest getting to sit on top of the snowball.  Below are some pictures of us in the snow!  It was nice to have a big snow!

CJ is 18 month's Old!

Our sweet CJ turned 18 month's old today.  We just can't believe how big he is getting and how much he is growing.  CJ makes us laugh all the time.  He loves to climb on anything he can, throw a ball, run cars or trucks all over the floor, just make a mess, play outside and most of all he loves playing with Savannah.  CJ thinks she is the coolest thing and the most fun to play with.  Charlie and I love to watch them chase each other around the house, play hide and seek with each other and anything else Savannah convinces CJ they need to do. He is still only saying "Mama" and "Dada".  Dr Fisher has told us not to worry because his big sister has been doing most of the talking for him.  CJ however is great at communicating what he wants in other ways.  There is no question in that.  CJ is 29lbs 4oz and is 34 inches long.  That puts him in the 85th percentile for his weight and 95th for his height.  He is so loving and is a busy little boy when he is awake.  Here are some pictures of our little man.

Savannah says.....

Savannah is always telling Charlie and I all kinds of things.  She is also full of questions.  Well lately she has been trying to figure out who our parents are.  We have explained that Poppa and Nanna are Mommy's parents and that Pa-Paw is Daddy's Daddy.  She has asked Charlie where his Mommy is.  Charlie told her in heaven.  Now she has lots of questions about heaven.  Here is how the conversation went tonight.

Savannah:  Do you wear clothes in heaven or are you naked?
Me:  I don't know.  You will have to ask God.
Savannah then proceeds to lean over to the corner of the couch and whisper.
Savannah:  God says it is going to be a little bit before he can tell me.
Me:  Well Savannah it is time for bed so God will have to tell you in your dreams tonight.
Savannah:  Wait a minute Mommy.....
Savannah then leans back over to the corner of the couch.
Savannah:  God says that we don't wear clothes in heaven.  We are naked Mommy.

Charlie and I just busted out laughing.  We love her faith and the questions she has.  She will also do anything to try to procrastinate going to bed.

Christmas 2013

Today was a great Christmas Day!  Savannah woke up about 7:45 and came running in our bedroom to tell us that Santa had come.  She was very excited to wake up and find that Santa had left her an Ariel scooter, a red power wheels jeep, and a sit and spin.  CJ was pretty excited about his Mickey Mouse happy hauler and the jeep.  Savannah of course could not wait to open presents and CJ could have cared less about opening presents.  He just wanted to play with his new toys.  It was really sweet.  We went to Charlie's Dad's for breakfast and to open presents there.  The kids had a great time.  We went to my Me-Maws for lunch and to visit with my extended family.  It was great to see them and to hear about how their Christmas was.  We are going to do presents with my parents tomorrow.  Charlie and I enjoyed Christmas a lot this year because Savannah really understood what was going on and her excitement was just contagious!

Savannah's Christmas Program!

Today was Savannah's Christmas Program at preschool.  It was great!  Charlie and I have decided that this age is so fun to watch do anything.  They sang several songs for us and then went around and told what they wanted for Christmas.  The teachers did a great job teaching them their songs.  Savannah is still going around singing the songs she learned.

Savannah is Mary...

Today they asked Savannah to be Mary for the Christmas cantata at church.  She was so excited when we told her that she got to walk down the aisle and carry baby Jesus.  She was just suppose to walk down the aisle for one song and kneel at the front.  After that song was over then she would get up and leave.  She did so good.  The only thing that happened was that her arms got tired and she dropped baby Jesus close to the end of the song.  When she came back out I said "Savannah you dropped baby Jesus."  She followed up with "its ok Mom he didn't cry."  I just busted out laughing.  We love this little girl!
