We were lucky enough to be able to go snow skiing with the youth group at our church. We usually go to Snowshoe, West Virginia this time every year because they usually have more snow and longer slopes than we do here in North Carolina. This year Charlie and I decided to have Savannah try snow skiing. She did great. It was a learning experience for all of us. Charlie put a harness on Savannah and she skied between his legs down the slopes. Savannah even at one point would ski between Charlie and I. When Savannah would get dressed in the morning she would say it is time for me to go get "gorgeous." She cracks us up. Savannah would usually ski in the morning and then would stay at the house in the afternoon to "play with the girls" as she would say. There were three girls who did not ski and they were kind enough to keep Savannah and CJ and play with them. CJ got all kinds of attention. He would just lay in the floor and all the boys would talk to him and play with him. Thanks to Patti, Kelly, and Dennis for helping watch our kids as well. It was a wonderful trip. We are so glad we were able to start Savannah out skiing this early. We hope she will grow to love it. One thing to add was that it was negative 5 degrees when we left that Tuesday. Charlie or I had never seen it that cold before.
