CJ is 8 Month's Old!

March 27, 2013
The time is just flying by.  CJ is 8 months old today.  Charlie and I can't believe that in 4 short months our little boy will be a year old.  He has started growing by leaps and bounds this month.  He still likes to get up in the middle of the night to eat.  It does not matter how much I feed him he still wakes up hungry.  CJ got his first illness this month.  Savannah decided to share the stomach virus with him.  Needless to say it is not fun for an 7 month old to have the stomach virus.  He weighed 19lbs and was 281/4 inches long when I took him to the doctor this month.  I feel like he is growing more and more everyday.  He now has six teeth.  His front two teeth have started to come in.  One huge thing for him this month was that he learned to crawl.  It is so cute to watch him do what I call the army crawl all over the house.  He loves to find cords and get into them and also into his sisters stuff.  Savannah is not a big fan of him being able to get to her toys.  One other thing he has started doing this month is squealing.  He squeals when he is happy, sad, or just excited about his food.  He wants to make sure we hear him.  CJ has also learned to go from laying down to sitting up.  Every morning when I go to his crib he is sitting up smiling at me.  It is wonderful.  We love him so much and we can't wait to see what this month holds.

CJ is 7 Months Old!

February 27, 2013
Today our little boy turned 7 months old.  The time is just going by so quickly.  He is so fun to be around.  One new thing for CJ this month is starting baby food.  He absolutely loves the fruit but is not such a fan of the veggies.  We are working on getting him to like them a little more.  CJ does however love to eat food.  I think if he could he would eat big people food.  CJ has really mastered the art of sitting up this month.  He just sits up so straight now.  He still of course loves his sister and loves it when she talks to him.  CJ now has 4 teeth.  The boy just keeps getting them.  CJ still likes to be on his belly and move around in circles until he can reach what he is trying to get to.  I don't think it will be long before he will be crawling.  As much as he likes to move he still likes to snuggle and I love that.  I did take him to the doctor for a check up this month and he weighed 18lb 5oz and was 27 1/2 inches long!  Here are some pictures of our big 7 month old!
Of course big sister needed to be in at least one picture.

Carolina Basketball Game!

February 2, 2013
Today we were able to go to the Carolina Basketball game.  They played Virginia Tech and won.  It was a great game.  It even went into overtime.  We were able to go to the game with Poppa, Nanna, Holly, Kelsey, and Johnathan and Lindsey met us there.  Savannah was so excited about going to the Carolina game.  Savannah loved cheering for them and she asked what the big stuffed animal(Rameses)  was doing on the court.  Kelsey, Holly, and I just busted out laughing.  The innocence of a child.  CJ I believed enjoyed the game.  He slept through most of the first half and then he just liked watching all the people the rest of the time.  It was a great day to be in Chapel Hill!

Savannah playing Basketball!

January 29, 2013
Savannah was able to do a basketball clinic at the YMCA this winter.  It has been fun for her.  She probably likes just running around the gym more than anything.  It is quite fun to watch a bunch of 3, 4, and 5 year olds trying to play basketball.  They teach them how to dribble, pass, and shoot the ball.  Savannah was pretty good with the passing and shooting but was not very interested in dribbling the ball.  Charlie and I are not sure if she is going to be a ball player or not.  We shall see!  She was also given a trophy at the end and a little cupcake.  She was in heaven!

CJ is 6 month's Old!

January 27, 2013
Today our baby boy is 6 months old.  We don't know where the time has gone.  We don't know what life was like without him.  He is so fun to be around.  CJ can now sit up by himself for a short time.  He could sit up longer if it wasn't for the fact that he sees something he wants and just dives for it.  He thinks he can roll where ever he wants to reach whatever he wants.  It is quite cute.  CJ can also hold his bottle when someone is feeding him.  Aunt Holly kept him the other day and said that he had a death grip on the bottle and did not want to let it go.  CJ now has his two bottom teeth.  If it was up to him he would eat table food.  He just eyes the food when we are eating and tries to get some.  We will be starting him on baby food soon.  CJ now loves his exersaucer, to play patty cake, and peek-a-boo.  Here are some pictures of our growing boy!

Snow Skiing!

January  19-21, 2013
We were lucky enough to be able to go snow skiing with the youth group at our church.  We usually go to Snowshoe, West Virginia this time every year because they usually have more snow and longer slopes than we do here in North Carolina.  This year Charlie and I decided to have Savannah try snow skiing.  She did great.  It was a learning experience for all of us.  Charlie put a harness on Savannah and she skied between his legs down the slopes.  Savannah even at one point would ski between Charlie and I.  When Savannah would get dressed in the morning she would say it is time for me to go get "gorgeous."  She cracks us up.  Savannah would usually ski in the morning and then would stay at the house in the afternoon to "play with the girls" as she would say.  There were three girls who did not ski and they were kind enough to keep Savannah and CJ and play with them.  CJ got all kinds of attention.  He would just lay in the floor and all the boys would talk to him and play with him.  Thanks to Patti, Kelly, and Dennis for helping watch our kids as well.  It was a wonderful trip.  We are so glad we were able to start Savannah out skiing this early.  We hope she will grow to love it.  One thing to add was that it was negative 5 degrees when we left that Tuesday.  Charlie or I had never seen it that cold before.

Christmas at Nanna and Poppa's!

December 30, 2012
Today we got to celebrate Christmas with Nanna, Poppa, Holly, Matt, Johnathan, and Lindsay.  It was wonderful.  We were not able to celebrate earlier because Holly was in the hospital and Nanna was sick.  Savannah I think enjoyed waiting to later because for her it was like Christmas all over again.  CJ's favorite thing to do again was to eat the wrapping paper.  He did enjoy playing with some toys that Nanna and Poppa gave him.  Savannah thought it was her job to open everyone's presents. Savannah was probably most excited about her camera that Nanna and Poppa gave her.  She was going around and taking all of our pictures.

CJ was so tired after all the fun!
