CJ's First Time Going Potty!

Tonight before bath we had CJ sit on the potty to see if he would go.  Well he did!!! When he went pee pee for the first time I think it shocked him.  It was really cute!  We all danced and sang the pee pee in the potty song for him.

Savannah's First Day of Pre-K!

Today was Savannah's first day of Pre-K at S. Ray Lowder.  This is where she will be attending elementary school.  She goes from 8:00-2:30 everyday.  She eats lunch at school and gets to take a nap at school.  Savannah was really excited this morning to go to school and was excited about eating lunch at school.  She got her a new princess book bag for school.  Charlie and I were able to walk her in today.  She put her stuff in her cubbie and then gave us a hug and told us goodbye.  Savannah was not scarred at all.  I teared up a bit after I dropped her off.  I just can't believe that she is old enough to go to pre-k all day!  We hope that she has a great year!  When I picked her up from school today she was so excited.  She said she had a great day. Savannah said that she took her nap in the housekeeping area and that they did not let her take her shoes off for nap.  She also told me that the teacher would not let her drink chocolate milk with her lunch and they only gave her a few cheerios for snack and that she was still very hungry.  Savannah said that her favorite thing about today was the "Housekeeping area."  Here is a picture of our little princess on her first day!

CJ's First Day of Preschool!

Today was CJ's first day of preschool.  We can't believe he is old enough to go to preschool.  CJ was very excited about his Mickey Mouse book bag.  He wanted to wear it all around the house.  When I dropped him off this morning he was really excited to get out of the car until he realized that I was not coming with him.  He then started crying "Ma Ma".  When I picked him up he was a very happy boy!  They said he stopped crying pretty soon after I left.  I asked them how he did and if he sat still.  Ms Youvette laughed and said that he did for snack.  She said that he kept asking for more snack.  That sounds just like our little man! The next day when Charlie dropped him off he cried again and was saying "My Da My Da".  Charlie called me at work and asked me how I did it.  He is doing great now though!  We can't wait to see what the year will hold.

CJ is 2 years old!!!!

CJ turned 2 years old today.  I can't believe where the time is going.  He is so funny!  We never know what he is going to do.  He loves to run wherever he is going,  he falls down all the time, he loves his blanket, he loves Savannah and likes to play with her.  CJ still likes Mickey Mouse, he loves tractors, cars, or trucks, he loves to throw a ball, and push anything around.  He says "yea" to everything!  We like to call him the "Yes Man"!  CJ is starting to say a lot more words now.  Any guys that he doesn't know there name or can't say there name he just calls them Matt.  We have no idea why he does that.  CJ loves to wrestle with his Daddy. Anytime someone is sitting in the floor he just runs across the room and jumps on them.  He thinks they should wrestle with him to.  We love him to pieces and are so glad God has trusted him to us!  Today we had a Mickey party for him at the Splash Pad.  He had a great time.  CJ loved playing with his friends in the water and getting to eat cake and ice cream.  He was not to much interested in opening presents.  He would just open one and want to play with it.  Overall he had a great 2nd Birthday!

 CJ loves his new tractor!

Beach Time Fun!

This year we were able to go the beach again with my family.  We went to Oak Island and had a great time.  Savannah loves the beach and was so excited about going that she was just counting down the days until we left.  Savannah and CJ loved playing in the ocean.  CJ was a little scared of the ocean after he fell down when a wave hit him and he was being washed to shore.  But after a day he was good with being back in the water again.  He got brave close to the end of the week and wanted to go out as far as the bigger girls were going.  Savannah would jump at any chance she had to jump the waves.  We built sand castles and Amber even let Savannah and Makynli bury her in the sand.  She was being a good sport.  We were close enough to Southport that we drove over there one day and caught the ferry to Fort Fisher and went to the aquarium.  The kids loved it!  We were able to go play putt putt, play in the arcade, and get ice cream one night.  The guys did the cooking again and did a wonderful job!  We never went hungry.  Here are some pictures of our trip.

Camping at Lake Jocassee

We got to go camping with the Richardson's and the Specht's again this weekend.  This time it was much warmer.  We went to Lake Jocassee in South Carolina.  We had a great time.  It was our first time tent camping as a family.  We got a tent that Wil likes to call the "Taj Mahal" tent.  We knew we needed a tent big enough for us to fit the kids air mattresses and our air mattress in so this was what we ended up with.  The kids did great.  CJ loves being outside and it was right down his alley.  He fell a million times and had dirt from head to toe.  He didn't care though.  Savannah loved playing with Kali and Liam but she stayed much cleaner.  We took the boat down there and rode all over the lake.  We looked at waterfalls, jumped off rocks, surfed, wake skated, skied, and just played in the water.  It was wonderful.  The water down there is so clear that you can see the bottom.  The bottom is sand so we loved that.  We even found a little beach area where we could tie the boat up and play in the water.  The kids loved that.  Savannah enjoyed sleeping in the tent and so did CJ.  I think that Savannah roasted marshmallows every night and made s'mores.  It was great.  We can't wait to go camping again.

Crazy CJ

Today CJ got tubes put in his ears because he was having lots of ear infections and his hearing was decreased.  He did great!  Beside him taking a really long nap you would not have known that he had anything done.  You can tell that he can hear better now that he has gotten the tubes.  When there is a really loud noise he covers his ears.  Well because he had such a long nap today he was not ready for bed so Charlie and CJ were playing on our bed.  Here is a picture of our crazy little boy.  We like to call him Rambo!
